Soy wax is a reasonably new player in the home fragrance game. For hundreds of years paraffin wax was used to create candles, designed to give off light and heat it was an ideal material. More recently,

have been scented and used to fragrance the home. As users started to notice (and be put off by) the black soot emitted from the candles a new wave of alternative materials was researched including beeswax, coconut wax and soy wax. We chose soy wax as our key ingredient for three main reasons.

  1. Soy wax is a natural material which means there are no harmful toxins or carcinogens and also no soot!

  2. Soy wax is more cost effective than other natural alternatives which allows us to keep our products affordable

  3. Soy wax burns at a lower temperature resulting in a scent that lasts longer and smells stronger.

Wax melts are a fantastic way to scent the home, they work quickly and can fill a room with fragrance within 15 minutes. To use the wax melts you need an oil burner, either an electric one or a tealight one. If using an electric one you simply place some melts in the well and switch it on, it will melt and releaase the scent. If using a tea light burner you need to light a tea light and place it inside the oil burner and put some melts in the well. Then sit back and enjoy the scent fill the room. There are some important safety rules for using tea light burner, the most important of which is to clean the oil burner inside and out between uses to avoid a build up of soot underneath the well. Now for the important question! Why Darceys? There are plenty of companies out there making wax melts, more and more of them using soy wax so we need to set ourselves apart and make sure we are the best! Here are some reasons you should become or remain a Darceys customer.
